It's what I do!
As you can see from my resume I've been primarily in computer operations for quite some time. I consider myself to be quite versitle. Best thing a job can bring is challenge! I love to solve problems and figure out either their root and/or the steps to conquer them.
I've been in a mainframe environment dealing mostly with Unisys A-series/Clearpath/Libra styles. I have had some time on Unisys Voyager 2200 and even less time on an IBM mainframe although I'm really not sure what model it is. I'm not shy to the PC world either. I was right in the midst of the PC revolution. I've seen them evolve from computation instuments that only the rich could afford to a computer that you could run down to your local rent to own and get one. I've had to learn the curve with PC and sometimes at a fantastic rate!
My one really big wish would be to go back and get some networking certificates. Only thing holding me back is money for reasons that once you read the Moi page you'll understand better!
I've tried my hand at the linux world too. Have played with several different distros. At one time I was hosting my own web and email server right from the privacy of my own desk. Unfortunetly I've never had the pleasure of using any of this self taught experiences in the real world.
My ideal job would be on that give me both the challenge and growth needed to keep me entertained. That's right, I said entertained. I've always enjoyed working both on and with computers both mainframe and pc. Albiet, everybody has their bad days so have I but in the end I still enjoyed the work.
